Two months of power knitting and it's finally put together. It feels wonderful to wear, and the yarn isn't as scratchy as I first thought. Instead of the large hood, I did a collar and I'm very happy that I did as it's less bulky in back.
The horn buttons I picked out:

Pattern: Clasica Coat, Interweave Knits magazine, Fall 2009 issue
Yarn: Cascade Yarns - Ecological Wool (colorway 9012) 100% Undyed Peruvian Highland Wool
Needles: 8 & 9's
Now that the "Beast" doesn't hog all my time, I can make a pair of socks for a friend. She's allergic to wool, so the that yarn I'm using is bamboo and nylon. It's very soft, and slippery to work with and I hope they will wear well without bagging out.

So, what's on your needles?

Beautiful! Just in time for some nasty weather!
You picked perfect buttons! Beautiful coat and beautiful buttons.
On my needles: Serendipity socks from the book "Sock Club". I'm enjoying them very much.
SO beautiful, and the buttons are amazing!!!
I LOVE the coat!!! Also, I know your friend will love the socks!! I love the colors of the sock yarn. Also, saw a comment you left on "a frend to knit with" and wondering what the name of the knitting bags you ladies have? Very cute!!! Thanks:)
Jenny: The knitting bags are from "Offhand Designs".
