Noro Update

IMG_4358

I've knit the whole left front on my Francesca Vest, and cast on for the right front immediately. I'm liking how these colors all blend together. It's hard chosing a Noro color to knit with. You see all the different colors in the skein, but can't imagine how they will all look once your piece is knit up. I'm finding this colorway a pleasant surprise.

My friend who is allergic to wool is giddy with excitement to be wearing these bamboo/nylon socks ...

This week I received a Loopy Sock Club installment and I'm very happy with its contents.

The yarn is Madelintosh (colorway "Green W/Envy"). Patterns included are a choice of socks or fingerless mittens. Also inclded was the awesome messenger bag. Sheri, from The Loopy Ewe, never ceases to surprise us with such thoughtful kits.

I do love the way the Noro turns out. Of course, I haven't ever knit anything really big with it, but I did use it in combination with a plain cascade 220 to make a felted purse. I also used it to make some hats for my brothers last year, also in combo with cascade 220. I made the turn a square hat (at least I think that's the name...on ravelry).

I love the colors in your Noro...can't wait to see your finished vest!
